Life After Death

Despite the silly tagline to this guy's blog (personal development for smart people???) it's an interesting read.

I'm going to get back to you on this one. Hopefully I can make it a worthwhile read...

Not one of us knows anything, really, about death. Speculation reveals something about us, perhaps our fears or hopes. Yet even within our skills of rhetoric, gold exists and it takes patience to understand these nuggets.

Have we considered ourselves before our births? Science usually urges us on towards a finality from unchanging premises but isn't a good thief the one who has access to a back door?

Sometimes one has to step off the path to know where it leads.

Experience is the only substitute for knowledge, even if that knowledge is correct. I can only memorise a truth if I haven't experienced it, and to me, this distinction is a revealing one.

I've been told that one can become 'zero' and my impression from this is that if one moves from and perhaps within, this zero world, then one lives forever.

I can only use words that make sense to me because these reflect my own experiences, my own understandings. Yet, if one adopts the attitude that 'there is always more', then that should be enough.

To live with the reality that death could be imminent provides immense challenges. In this regard, I thank my teachers for putting up with me as I try to come to terms with death.

I want to also add that I enjoyed reading the article but I'm of the opinion that knowledge can only be guaranteed by God.

(I don't know what that means but it seemed correct to type it. Go figure...)
